The Role

A fantastic opportunity to work in an excellent school based in Frome. The position is a full time role that is perfect for any ETC who is looking to complete their qualifications and develop their experience and pedagogy but also experienced teachers who have been teaching for a number of years.

We are on the hunt for a positive and confident candidate that has excellent curriculum knowledge, adores their subject and feels passion about sharing their knowledge and teaching children. The role includes planning, marking and assessing students in key stage 2 and 3. You will be collaborating with other members of the English department and support staff. You need to be able to communicate clearly and consistently plan lessons that have a strong scaffolded plan and are differentiated.

The School

Situated in the deligthful town of Frome, the school has a close knit team that is looking for someone speical to join their team for the next 9 months. This is no ordinary secondary school, the age range is early years to year 8. Thus the school has a lovely primary and secondary blend; a secondary school with a primary school feel. Although the school still remains dedicated to providing high results and preparing students for GCSE and A Levels it has a much calmer and nurturing environment then most secondary schools. This is the perfect role for an ECT who wants to gentle spread there wings into teaching or a very experienced teacher looking for a slight step back from the usual hectic day to day secondary school.
