This is an important role providing the successful applicant with the opportunity to support the Academy in ensuring that, where necessary, lessons are covered by a dedicated professional who is fully committed to supporting the Academy's behaviour management and teaching and learning strategies.

The right candidate will have the drive and ambition to demonstrate excellent practice within the classroom across the academy. They will put young people first and have the highest expectations of themselves, the pupils and others. Great interpersonal skills are key to effective classroom management as well as the ability to develop relationships with staff and pupils within the academy.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Location - North Manchester
  • Position - Secondary Cover Supervisor
  • Type of work - Covering classes in absence of a Class Teacher
  • Start date - September 2024
  • Duration / Likely Duration - ongoing until further notice - sickness cover
  • End date (if applicable) - N/A
  • Contract type - Temporary
  • Full time/part time - depending on school needs
  • Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate £80 per day
  • Hours - 8:20 am - 3:30pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Recent Graduate, with a 2:1 or higher (preferred but not required)
  • Previous experience working in a UK school (preferred but not required)
  • Previous experience working as a youth leader/sports coach
  • Up to date Safeguarding and Prevent training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
  • Provide references that cover the past two years
