A forward-thinking secondary school in Luton is looking for an enthusiastic Secondary teacher to join their team as 2nd in Charge of the Maths Department in September 2024!

This is a great role for a Maths Teacher who is looking to take the next step in their role towards Leadership.

About the role

You will be working within an extremely supportive and collaborative department alongside a team of excellent practitioners. You will be responsible for Teaching & Learning, the provision of high quality and relevant schemes of work. You will be suppoting the Head of Department and deputising where needed as well as actively participating in Leadership and SLT meetings.

This is a full-time long-term role, with genuine opportunities for progression for teachers who demonstrate commitment and passion for the school.

About you

  • A qualified teacher with a formal teaching qualification
  • Confident teaching Maths at Key Stage 3/4 and to a range of abilities
  • A passion for your subject and education in general
  • Ability to think on your feet and adapt to new environments
  • A desire to work as a team with the rest of the department and the school
