Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment are recruiting for a Seasonal Outdoor Worker, for a Client in the Bridgend area.

Outdoor worker

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • To inspect, maintain and empty 22 dog bins on a weekly rota.
  • Make sure an activity log is kept up to date.
  • Report any damage to the Facilities Team.
  • To drive the Clients vehicle and be responsible for its day-to-day maintenance and cleanliness.
  • To adhere to the van usage policy.
  • To wash down glass/Perspex panels, wipe telephone receivers and sweep litter in 11 phone boxes in the Bridgend area.
  • To wash down glass/Perspex panels, wipe timetable cases and sweep litter in 22 bus shelters in the Bridgend area.
  • Observe bus shelters for graffiti or repairs and report to the Facilities team.
  • Wash down exterior of bins (April - September only).
  • Observe steel picnic tables for graffiti or repairs.
  • To report 'sites of concern’ such as fly tipping, abandoned vehicles, road and pavements in need of repair, faulty street lights and other environmental problems.
  • Assist the Outdoor Team with practical jobs such as clearing footpaths of leaves etc. as and when required.
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties commensurate with the post and grade.
  • To help prevent crime, vandalism and anti-social behaviour by being a visible presence and acting as the 'eyes and ears’ of the Client.
  • To encourage a feeling of community and pride in Bridgend Town centre.
  • Outworkers will also carry out any other general duties as and when required.

The hours of work are 20 hours a week. The successful candidate must have a Full Valid DBS Check. Full Cleaning Driving licence is essential.
