Working alongside the MD at this global logistics business, we are looking for a Senior Sea Exports ‘Product Development Manager’ who has Sea Export knowledge to join their team.

This will be a brand new role within the company and a huge opportunity to make a significant impact on the business, whilst also having a team built around you once settled.

Logistics powerhouse who’s HQ is situated in Germany and have a huge global presence in over 190 locations in over 35 countries worldwide, currently employee over 4000 staff and have offices in Manchester, Birmingham and Heathrow with future plans for another office in the North East.

Their logistics services offer solutions in Air & Ocean developing relationships and partnering with industrial engineering, automotive, chemicals, electronics and high tech retail and fashion companies.

Role
The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, bringing in new business on Sea Exports. Managing the export operational team in coordinating shipment handling and managing KPI’s via both manual reporting from Cargo wise, and their online client portal (LOTS). Responsible for the month end closing P&L of the Sea Export Dept.

The Sea Export Product Development Manager is a brand new role within the business so a great time to join the company as they continue to grow.

Skills Required
  • 5+ years’ industry knowledge / experience specifically in Sea Exports
  • Sea Export Operational experience a MUST
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dynamic, hungry and proactive go getter with “first hand” experience in attaining new customers / new business
  • Creative individual who can think outside of the box & bring new ideas
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
  • Cargo wise experience / knowledge would be preferred
