Scrap Metal Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Scrap Metal Fabricator to join our Client in Rochford, Essex. As a Scrap Metal Fabricator, you will play a crucial role working with various metal products. You will be responsible for transforming raw scrap metal into usable materials by cutting, shaping, and bending them. Attention to detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this role. All tools and PPE to be provided by the Client.

Responsibilities

  • Transform raw scrap metal into usable materials by cutting, shaping, and bending.
  • Operate and maintain various machinery, such as shears, presses, and grinders, to process and fabricate scrap metal.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to execute fabrication tasks accurately.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of fabricated metal products by conducting thorough inspections.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, including proper disposal of scrap metal and waste materials.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Scrap Metal Fabricator/ Welder or similar role.
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining metalworking machinery.
  • Strong understanding of metal properties, fabrication techniques, and measurement tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in fabricating metal products.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy and bulky materials.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and willingness to adhere to them at all times.

Monday – Friday 7am – 5pm O/T is available at time and one half.

Salary depending on experience up to £44,460 per annum plus bens.
