My Client is an award-winning national law firm in the Legal100, their reputation and presence in the industry is enviable and they are seeking to recruit an Associate Solicitor to join their expanding Glasgow team. The successful candidate will handle their own caseload of litigated motor injury, fraud and credit hire cases and assist the Partner in the day to day running of the team and higher value cases. There will be a requirement to undertake court appearance work and supervision of a growing team.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Forensic review and analysis of relevant documents.
  • Analysis of liability.
  • Analysis of quantum and causation.
  • Assisting in drafting advice.
  • Client liaison.
  • Court appearance and attendance with counsel.
  • Drafting documents and correspondence to clients/court/witnesses.
  • Preparing witness statements and instructions to experts.
  • Assisting Partners and other members of the team where required.
  • Assisting in business development initiatives, including drafting of articles, blog pieces, e-shots and presentations and attendance at relevant events.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
  • Litigation experience 3+ years PQE (preferably defender motor)
  • Supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent forensic skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and to work under pressure
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Previous experience of time recording is preferable
  • The ability to work as part of a team and independently
