The Role
We are searching for an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join th dynamic faculty. As a science teacher, you'll play a crucial role in shaping young minds, fostering curiosity, and inspiring a love for scientific exploration. Whether you're an experienced educator or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), this position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact.
Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Design: Develop engaging lesson plans and curricula that align with national and school guidelines.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Create suitable assessments and provide constructive feedback to students, parents, and fellow teachers.
  • Classroom Management: Establish rules and regulations for classroom, lab, and field trips, ensuring student understanding.
  • Hands-On Learning: Set up demonstrations, supervise experiments, and encourage active participation.
  • Student Support: Provide additional resources and interventions for struggling students.
  • Administrative Tasks: Grade papers, update records, and handle administrative duties.
  • Inclusive Environment: Foster an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing opinions.
  • Teacher Development: Assist in recruiting and training new teachers, and support student teachers.
  • Parent Communication: Regularly communicate with parents about student progress.



Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Degree in science or a related discipline.
  • Teaching Certification: Relevant teaching certificate or license.
  • Experience: Completed apprenticeship or prior teaching experience.
  • Tech Savvy: Practical experience with MS Office, Google Classroom, and other software.
  • Attributes: Dedication, patience, and the ability to remain calm in tense situations.
  • Respectful Approach: Ability to answer sensitive questions and respect diverse opinions.
  • Lifelong Learner: Passion for science and commitment to continuing education.
  • Effective Communicator: Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
