Career Teachers are working in partnership with an independent specialist day school in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, who wish to appoint a Teacher of Science to join their team, on a permanent basis from September 2024.

Their highly experienced team is dedicated to providing outstanding education to children and young people aged between 7 and 16 who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition, and ADHD, and have many associated needs such as; social, emotional and mental health needs, communication needs and cognition and learning needs.

As a Science Teacher at this incredible provision, you will be an integral part of a team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything they do. You will plan, assess and deliver outstanding teaching and learning using proven methods and approaches that enable all young people to learn, whilst ensuring that pastoral needs are also met. You will establish excellent relationships with parents and carers and inspire trust and confidence in pupils, colleagues, families and other professionals.

About you

For this role, we are looking for someone who -

  • holds a teaching degree or equivalent and QTS
  • has a minimum of 2 years teaching experience delivering the Science National Curriculum, along with experience of working with children with challenging behaviour
  • has a proven ability to deliver high quality, lively and effective teaching at KS3 and KS4
