Science Teacher (SEN)
  • Location: Grafham Grange
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary: £130-£180 per day depending on experience
  • Start Date: After May Half Term

We are inviting a dedicated Science Teacher to join our SEMH school in Bramley, Guildford for children aged 10 to 16 with SEMH needs. Our school is committed to providing exceptional education and support to students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. We are looking for a resilient educator who can deliver engaging and inspiring science lessons, tailored to individual learning abilities.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality science curriculum lessons that cater to a range of learning needs.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement strategies for students’ individual educational plans.
  • Participate in school events and ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practice and student outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience in teaching science subjects, with a strong understanding of the curriculum.
  • Strong understanding of SEMH students’ needs and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
