As the Science Department Head, you will have a crucial role in overseeing the department, developing innovative curriculum strategies, and leading a team of dedicated educators. This position is integral to maintaining high standards of teaching and ensuring that our students are well-prepared for their future academic and career endeavours.

• Lead the planning and execution of the science curriculum across all key stages, ensuring compliance with the highest educational standards.
• Mentor and supervise the science teaching staff, promoting a culture of high expectations and continuous professional improvement.
• Assess and enhance the effectiveness of teaching methods and student learning outcomes within the department.
• Design and implement engaging, rigorous lessons tailored to a diverse student body.
• Encourage and support the integration of innovative teaching practices and technology to enhance learning experiences.
• Collaborate with other department heads and senior leadership to promote a cohesive educational strategy across the school.
• Manage the department's budget and resources efficiently.
• Engage regularly with the broader school community, parents, and external organisations to promote the science department's initiatives and achievements.

• You are a holder of a UK-recognised teaching qualification with QTS.
• You have extensive experience in science education with a proven track record in educational leadership.
• You demonstrate effective leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead a team.
• You possess a deep understanding of the latest educational practices and curricular developments in science.
