School Place Planning OfficerJob Description

Swindon Borough Council are seeking a School Place Planning Officer to join their team on a part-time basis. The role requires the successful candidate to work 3 days per week and involves a hybrid of site visits and on-site working. The contract for this role will be for 10 months.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the company's school place planning strategy
  • Provide advice and guidance to stakeholders on school place planning matters
  • Undertake site visits and assessments to support school place planning
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective school place planning
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to school place planning
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a school place planning role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to school place planning
