School HR Assistant required in London

Days/hours: Full-time  8:30/9:30 - 4:30/5:30pm (can be negotiated)

Start date: ASAP

Are you a experienced & passionate HR assistant looking for your next challenge? We are looking for a positive and experienced individual to work within one of our schools Academies. You will provide a high level of administration support to both schools and ensure HR servies are delivered in a proactive, effective and efficient way. We are looking for somebody who is highly committed and has a genuine passion for education for all and can be flexible and optimistic with all tasks. There is an opportunity for temp to perm for this role for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • To support with recruitment processes across the academies.
  • Assist with recording and tracking of job applications.
  • To ensure room and refreshments are ready before interviews take place.
  • To ensure new employee receive induction packs and required information.
  • To ensure all new starters have login details and ID cards.
  • Support the maintenance of a Single Central Register (SCR).
  • Ensure monthly holiday entitlement emails are sent to support staff.
  • Assist the HR officer with maintenance of confidential staff records.
  • Maintain an accurate filing system and process HR related paperwork.
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested.

Person specification

  • Previous experience in a HR role - (CIPD Ideally) preferably in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication, writing and editing skills with the ability to build relationships with others.
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to multi-task.
  • To work with accuracy and a high attention to detail.
  • High proficiency with Microsft Office.
  • Payroll experience (Ideally)

Requirements

  • 5 GCSE A* - C or equivalent
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • An enhanced child/child & adult DBS certificate on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
  • A minimum of two professional references (three if neither is child-based) to cover the last 24 months.
