School Cover Supervisor

SCHOOL COVER SUPERVISOR, BLACKPOOL

Holden Knight Education are working specifically with a number of secondary schools across Blackpool.

Schools are working exclusively with ourselves to provide cover supervisors to work daily and on a longer term basis.

Short term cover (up to three days absence) and longer term staff cover will require a cover supervisor to supervise classes across a number of subject areas.

Throughout the academic year, absence periods can be high (seasonal colds, staff courses, etc.) and there is always an opportunity for regular work 5 days a week.

Cover Supervisor work provides a great platform & a step forward into a career in Education - offering practical & academic experience . If you have previous experience of working with young people through clubs, children's residential homes, care homes, SEND homes or experience in a position of authority this role could be for yourself.

You will need to be calm under pressure and stressful situations. You could be placed in situations with a lack of preparation time due to the changing nature of schools.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS:

Location - Blackpool - Cover Supervisor.

Type of work - Teaching.

Start date - ASAP or September 2024.

Likely Duration - Ongoing.

Contract type - Temporary & Permanent.

Minimum rate of pay - from £94.32 per day PAYE.

Hours - 8:30am - 4pm daily.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Ideally degree educated with a good classification. Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference).

Experience of teaching in a Secondary School or similar field (which we can reference).

Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential & we can provide the training).

Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (we can provide the training).

To be eligible for this role., YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK.

Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of £52.00 (we can take this from your first weeks salary instead).

Provide a minimum of two professional references (No personal email addresses).
