About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated School Site Assistant to join our team in Slough. This full-time role offers a competitive salary of £25,000 to £27,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the school’s facilities and grounds, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular maintenance and minor repairs of school buildings and equipment.
  • Assist with the setup of classrooms and event spaces.
  • Manage the upkeep of outdoor areas, including playgrounds and sports fields.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance work.
  • Support the school’s waste management and recycling initiatives.
  • Respond promptly to ad-hoc maintenance requests from school staff.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • A hands-on approach to problem-solving and maintenance tasks.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
