Office Angels are looking for an experienced School Business Manager to provide professional leadership and support within an ambitious and highly reputable school based in Borough. In this position you will work alongside a friendly and driven team who are enthusiastic about reaching their aspirations and making a real impact.

Borough | Permanent | Full Time | Mon - Fri | Office Based | £50,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience)

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO:

  • Negotiate and influence strategic decision making within the SLT
  • Lead, plan and manage all school support staff and change in accordance with the academy development plan
  • Evaluate, prepare and submit realistic and balanced budget for school activity for approval and assist the overall financial planning process
  • Maintain a strategic financial plan that will indicate the trends and requirements of the school development plan and will forecast future year budgets
  • Manage the whole school administrative function and lead all support staff
    Design and maintain administrative systems that deliver outcomes based on the academy's aims and goals
  • Use data analysis, evaluation and reporting systems to maximum effect by ensuring systems are streamlined to maximise efficiency and avoid duplication
  • Manage the payroll services for all school staff including the management of pension schemes and associated services.
  • Ensure & manage all recruitment, appraisal, staff development, grievance, disciplinary and redundancy whilst ensuing all policies and procedures comply with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Act as the school's Health & Safety Co-ordinator & Fire Officer and plan, instigate and maintain records of fire practices and alarm tests
  • Provide support and leadership to the Catering Manager and Kitchen team to ensure the Kitchen is well managed, affordable and maintained
