Are you a dynamic and strategic thinker with a passion for education and business management? CloudStone Education are recruiting for a highly skilled School Business Manager to join a vibrant school based in Southwark, London.

As the School Business Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the effective management and operation of the school. Working closely with the leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of school finances, resources, and administration to ensure the smooth running of daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Manage the school budget, monitor expenditure, and identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives. Prepare financial reports for stakeholders and ensure compliance with financial regulations
  • Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources to support teaching and learning activities. Procure goods and services, negotiate contracts, and maintain supplier relationships
  • Human Resources: Oversee HR functions including recruitment, staff development, and performance management. Ensure compliance with employment legislation and maintain accurate personnel records
  • Facilities Management: Manage the upkeep and maintenance of school facilities. Coordinate health and safety procedures and implement risk management strategies
  • Administration: Supervise administrative staff and streamline administrative processes. Maintain accurate records, produce reports, and respond to enquiries from stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and strategic planning
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, students, parents, and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations related to education, finance, and HR
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
