The Role
We are currently seeking a skilled Wood Sander/Prepper to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for woodworking and a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for preparing wood surfaces for finishing by sanding, smoothing, and prepping them to perfection.
- Operate sanding equipment and hand tools to smooth wood surfaces.
- Inspect wood for defects, such as knots, cracks, and dents, and repair them as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the work area.
Successful Applicants
- Previous experience in woodworking or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in operating sanding equipment and hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and processes.
Hours: 08:00-17:00
Shift: Monday to Friday
Pay: £12.00 - £14.00ph (dependant on experience)
