Market leaders in their industry, their headquarters, nestled in Skelmersdale, serves as the hub for their dynamic and talented medium-sized administration team.

The Role

Aspion are proud to lead the search for my client’s next Sales Team Leader. The focus of this role will be to coach, train and manage a small high performing team of Account Managers. You will contribute to the performance of the department by identifying and targeting prospective clients through proactive business development activity, on the phone, virtually and in person.

You will target major facilities management, retail, commercial and engineering companies to sell a compulsory service. The role involves conducting high quality research, building a long term pipeline of opportunities, sending quotations and closing deals.

Additionally, you will support clients on their upcoming and existing projects, identifying opportunities for growth whilst providing world class customer support.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversight of a team of Account Managers, responsible for training, developing and improving their performance
  • Co-ordinating all sales activity for the team; delegating work, accountability for reporting and forecasting and regular performance management.
  • Ongoing management of existing projects and accounts whilst identifying opportunities for account development.
  • Utilise a strategic approach to identify and target prospective clients.
  • Engage in proactive business development activities through phone calls, virtual interactions, and in-person meetings.
  • Tailor business development strategies to align with the unique needs and challenges of each sector.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client requirements to position the service as a vital solution.
  • Conduct high-quality research on potential clients and market trends.
  • Stay informed about industry developments to enhance the effectiveness of business development efforts.
  • Build and nurture a long-term pipeline of business opportunities.
  • Prepare and send quotations in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Apply strong negotiation skills to close deals with prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate a smooth transition from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Generate regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and deal closures.

About You!

  • B2B Sales Experience:
  • Previous leadership experience and strong leadership skills
  • Demonstrates high energy levels and enthusiasm for the role.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to the dynamic working environment of a small, close-knit team.
  • Excellent oral and keyboard skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders and clients.
  • Exhibits self-discipline and resilience in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to stay focused and work autonomously to achieve set goals.
  • Acts as a chameleon, adept at tailoring communication styles to engage effectively with different stakeholders and clients.
  • Demonstrates the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
  • You must be based within commutable distance to their office in Skelmersdale.
