Sales Support/Administrator

  • Job Title: Sales Support/Administrator.

Our Client:

Our client is an award-winning specialist wine importer and distributor founded in 2000. They source exclusive wines and spirits for the UK’s leading restaurants, hotels, and independent wine merchants. As a dynamic, independently - owned business, they pride themselves on a friendly, can-do attitude.

Position Overview:

They are seeking a Sales Support professional to join the team. This role is crucial in supporting the dynamic sales team and contributing to overall sales growth. If you’re passionate about wine and have experience in a professional office environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Track Customer Agreements: Monitor customer agreements and report on customer activity.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare reports using financial systems and Excel.
  • Database Management: Keep client, supplier, and product databases up to date.
  • Sales Order Processing: Efficiently process sales orders and issue invoices.
  • Sales Materials Preparation: Assist in creating sales materials, including tasting booklets and offer sheets.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams as needed (including holiday cover).
  • Organize Travel and Meetings: Arrange travel and coordinate meetings as required.
  • Ad Hoc Duties: Handle additional tasks as necessary.

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous Office Experience: You should have prior experience in a professional office environment.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Particularly strong experience with Excel, including VLOOKUP and Pivot tables.
  • Highly Organized: Attention to detail and effective time management are critical.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and meet deadlines.
  • Self-Motivated: A positive outlook and self-motivation are key.
  • Sage Experience (Beneficial): Familiarity with Sage 50 or Sage 200 is advantageous but not required.
