Location: Thurrock with hybrid working

Salary: c£60,000 + car + bonus

Summary:

An experienced Sales Manager with a good knowledge of UK and European road freight operations is required to join the Essex based team of this well-established global logistics company. You will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth, fostering client relationships and enhancing the company's market presence as well as managing an internal sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with new and existing clients
  • Identify and target new clients.
  • Manage, develop and coach a small but growing team
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotes and pricing to potential clients.
  • Negotiate contract terms.
  • Monitor and track sales performance using relevant metrics and analytics.
  • Represent the company at industry events, tradeshows and conferences.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Proven track record of successful business development and sales experience within the UK and European road transport and logistics industry.
  • Strong understanding of logistics operations, processes, and industry best practice.
  • Proficient understnding of road freight operations encompassing FTL/LTL, import/export regulations and customs
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proficient in the use of CRM systems and MS office
  • Able to lead and develop a small team.
