Sales Ledger Clerk

We are currently in search of a meticulous Sales Ledger Clerk to join our manufacturing company located in Sittingbourne. This is a temporary position with the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate. The role offers up to £26,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Generating and issuing invoices to customers.
  • Allocating and reconciling incoming payments against the sales ledger.
  • Monitoring customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
  • Researching and resolving payment discrepancies.
  • Maintaining accounts receivable files and records.
  • Producing monthly financial and management reports.
  • Investigating and resolving any irregularities or enquiries.
  • Assisting in general financial management and analysis.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Sales Ledger Clerk or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of the sales ledger process and its impact on the business.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent numerical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Good organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • AAT qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
