Adecco Birmingham are currently recruiting for one of their valued clients based in the B7 area of Birmingham.

The Role:

We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Executive to join our team. As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, building, and maintaining current customer relationships, and achieving sales targets. You will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of our company.

Your role will encompass collaborating the strategic business plan with the Business Development Manager (BDM) that expands the company's customer base and ensure its strong presence. Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs and ethos with the expectation that the successful candidate will visit customers at least three days per week. To identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of the new products and competition status.

The Sales Executive will use their exceptional communication and negotiation skills to promote our products and services to potential clients. You will identify and understand customer needs, present tailored solutions, and close deals.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve agreed sales targets within 12-month period. (To be reviewed/analysed quarterly)
  • Identifying and acquiring new customers.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with existing customers
  • Understanding customers' specific requirements and providing technical solutions
  • Conducting product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients
  • Handling customer enquiries and providing timely and accurate responses.
  • Collaborating with the sales team to develop effective strategies.
  • Identifying and attending in trade shows, conferences, and industry events to promote company products.
  • Sourcing leads and cold calling potential customers
  • Developing business opportunities by arranging meetings and making sales pitches
  • Arranging follow-up meetings with clients to retain their business and make further sales.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of their industry and the products or services they sell
  • Negotiating terms of sales and agreements and closing sales with customers
  • Gathering market and customer information to identify new market trends.
  • Providing customers with detailed and accurate quotations and cost calculations
  • Making telemarketing calls to existing and prospective customers
  • Maintaining the customer database
  • Working with the production team to ensure customer deadlines are adhered too.
  • Maintaining an in-depth understanding of the company's products and services to advise and make suitable recommendations to customers.
  • Producing reports to monitor sales success rate, target achievement and project management.
  • Communicating effectively with the internal sales, production, and management team

The ideal candidate must be a good communicator and be able to liaise with clients both face to face and via email or phone. A driving license is essential for this role as you will be travelling to customer sites on a weekly basis.
