Sales & Events Manager
  • Annual Salary: £35,000 to 40,000 with performance-related commission
  • Location: RM area
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking a Sales & Events Manager with a proven track record in planning and overseeing events in both wet and dry hire spaces. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional service and seamless execution of events, driving and enhancing our hospitality and events provision in London East-UK.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Managing the sales and planning process for events at our modern venue, which includes an E-Centre events hall with a licensed bar and stage, and four breakout meeting rooms.
  • Attending events to ensure they run smoothly, with a capacity of around 220 seated guests.
  • Meeting with clients to showcase the space and confidently discuss event possibilities.
  • Planning and delivering events in close collaboration with caterers and organising all details leading up to the event day.
  • Hosting a diverse range of events, from business conferences to private celebrations, ensuring each event is tailored to meet client expectations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A Business Marketing degree or similar industry-related qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering hospitality functions and events within a complex, multi-site organisation.
  • Experience in successful business development and lead follow-up.
  • Solid operational experience in delivering functions and events to a diverse client base.
  • Previous experience in managing stakeholders, including colleagues, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and handle competing priorities.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and effective communication across all levels.
  • Self-motivated with a calm and pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Innovative thinking to meet and exceed client expectations.
  • A customer-focused approach with a passion for creating a fun working environment.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently when required.
  • IT literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of event/conferencing equipment.
