Job Title: Sales Estimator

Working Model / Location: On Site / Nottingham

Salary + Benefits: £25,000 - £38,000 DOE

Sector: Metal / Fabrication

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the sales and design teams to understand project requirements and objectives
  • Review design specifications, blueprints, and other technical documents to assess project scope
  • Analyze materials, labor, and other costs to prepare accurate project estimates.
  • Utilize pricing databases, historical data, and industry benchmarks to inform cost calculations
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities to optimize project profitability
  • Present cost estimates and pricing strategies to clients during sales meetings and negotiations
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and pricing information
  • Maintain accurate records of estimates, revisions, and related documentation
  • Continuously evaluate and improve estimating processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy

About You:

  • Proven experience as an estimator in a manufacturing or construction environment (DESIRED)
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in using estimating software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Prior experience in sales or business development is a plus
