Annual Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 (DOE)
Weekly Hours: 7.30am to .4pm
Purpose and Scope:
The Mechanical Services Support Engineer will provide support the manager of the gearbox services department by assisting with the day-to-day operations of the department. This includes placing orders, dealing with customer requests, and processing projects to scheduled completion.
Main Duties:
- Provide high levels of customer service and communication at all times
- Maintaining job packs to ensure document control is in line with our quality processes
- Support the planning and coordination of the daily operations of the gearbox repair department
- Monitor inventory levels and order new parts as needed
- Regularly monitor work in progress
- Providing concise, written quotations to customers
- Prepare reports and other documentation as required
- Support the monthly forecasting of sales
- Knowledge of various types of rotating equipment
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Knowledge of safety standards
- IT Literate and administratively competent
- Customer orientated
- Knowledge of quality assurance practices
- Engineering Apprenticeship or similar qualification
- GCSE Qualification or equivalent
