Sales & Customer Services Administrator (part-time) 12-month FTC

Do you have first-class administration experience, enjoy working as part of a team and looking for an interesting part-time position? This highly regarded publishing organisation based in Cambridge is looking to appoint a Sales & Customer Services Administrator for their Sales & Subscriptions department on a 12-month fixed term contract, 2 days a week. Working days will be a Tuesday plus 1 other day. The Sales & Customer Services Administrator will be responsible for customer service and administration within the Sales & Subscriptions department. You will be the first point of contact with customers and will be responsible for a range administrative tasks. Your duties will interconnect with colleagues in the sales & accounts teams so you must be an enthusiastic team player.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the needs and expectations of customers with tact and diplomacy
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to co-ordinate multiple activities successfully
  • Updating of customer accounts on the subscription system and the online access system
  • Permissions - To answer client enquiries, manage CCC (our permissions agent) monitor charges
  • General administration support including email

The successful person will have excellent numeracy skills, a proactive and flexible approach to your work, while having great attention to detail. Professional, discrete, and trustworthy, you will be able to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work in a busy environment meeting set deadlines are essential.

You will also be experienced using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Some experience of working within academic publishing would be highly desirable, but is not an essential requirement.
