Internal Sales & Customer Support

Job Type: Full-time

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00

Reed in Colchester are delighted to be supporting our client looking for a dedicated Internal Sales & Customer Support professional to provide first-class customer service to all customers contacting us via phone, email, or EDI. The role involves collaboration with various departments to achieve established goals and drive positive sales results.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Process customer orders efficiently and accurately
  • Prepare quotes/bills of materials and determine effective pricing strategies
  • Handle sales enquiries on all products within our range
  • Address enquiries on customer accounts and liaise with the warehouse regarding special delivery orders
  • Raise purchase orders and follow up on quotations to drive sales
  • Manage all aspects of customer relationships, ensuring a high level of service
  • Work as part of a team to meet and exceed agreed KPIs
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn existing processes and strive for continuous improvement
  • Ensure all customers are dealt with in a timely and friendly manner
  • Undertake ad hoc projects as required by the Internal Sales Manager.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience within an Internal Sales/Customer Service team
  • Understanding of the sales process within a distribution environment
  • IT literate, particularly with MS Office and ERP systems; knowledge of SAP is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Ability to work as part of a team or independently
  • Flexible attitude to working patterns and a natural problem solver
