We are working alongside a family business based in Leyland who, due to a new product relaunch are looking to bring on board a Sales Administrator/Finance Clerk.

The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and the capability to prioritize workload according to business needs. A natural enthusiasm for customer satisfaction through effective communication, and attention to detail in handling queries and accounting input is essential. The role demands a self-motivated individual with a 'can do' attitude, capable of working with minimal supervision.

My client will consider part-time and school hours.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Answer customer phone calls and manage the email inbox for orders and queries.
  • Monitor the Sales Inbox account and process customer orders.
  • Raise sales orders on Sage 50, process through to invoicing, and handle queries.
  • Input prices into Sage Line 50.
  • Liaise with the warehouse to ensure a smooth sales order process.
  • Send customer statements.
  • Upload and process purchase invoices via AutoEntry onto the Purchase Ledger in Sage.
  • Check supplier statements.
  • Locate paperwork and post bank transactions into Sage 50.
  • File and update records.
  • Prepare and post journals.
  • Handle receipts and match them to any correspondence.
  • Support the Credit Control function.
  • Assist the workload of the Accounts Officer.

In return, you will have previous experience with ledger processing and administration. Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be computer literate, including experience with a digital filing system, Sage 50 (desirable), and MS Office - Excel knowledge essential.
