An exciting opportunity within a food services business has become available for a Sales Account Manager to support the team in the Midlands region. This business is a leading provider within their market and have been highly successful over the last few decades, resulting in excellent growth plans for the next few years. Whilst they have seen high levels of success, they maintain a small business, friendly culture and pride themselves on cultivating a pleasant environment for their employees to work in.

The position holder will join the Sales division of the business, supporting on the growth plans that are set in place for the next few years. This will involve developing and attaining new client accounts in the market, which will be made up of primarily food manufacturers and food services groups. The person in this role will have a lot of autonomy in the position, managing their own diary and time effectively.

Role and Responsibilities
While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively developing new accounts for the business, specifically within the business-to-business market and within foodservice
  • Working out in the field, conducting client visits, arranging and attending meetings in order to deliver the best customer satisfaction and successfully close sales
  • Developing strong business relationships with clients that are profitable for the business
  • Effectively managing a diary, ensuring sales management professionals are kept up to date with weekly schedules
  • Creating visit reports after client meetings
  • Communicating with internal sales administration teams to support work undertaken when needed
  • Attending sales meetings with the Sales Director and other senior management on a weekly basis at head office

What You Will Need To Apply:
If you are an experienced sales and business development professional, particularly with exposure to the food production, food wholesale, foodservice and sauce markets, then this role would be an ideal position for you, and the business would be keen to hear from you. Additionally, any experience dealing directly with food manufacturers and food service groups would be highly coveted. Applicants should be proactive and ambitious in their approach to work, happy to travel across the region and wider country to conduct client visits, and be resourceful in their prospecting tactics. 

What You Will Get In Return:

In return, as the successful candidate, you can expect to attain a starting salary in the region of £80,000 for this position, which of course will be dependent on your previous experience within the specific sector.
