Due to growth a fantastic opportunity has become available for a Key Account Manager to join a well-regarded organisation, based in Andover, Hampshire.

This is a one-off opportunity for a driven and enthusiastic Sales Manager or Account Manager with leadership qualities to join a forward-thinking business that is continuing to grow year after year.

Location - Andover, Hampshire

Salary - up to £40,000 - £45,000 + bonus + car allowance

Job type - Permanent

Working Hours - Mon - Fri

Key skills required for a Key Account Manager:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience working in a high-value/capital sales environment

  • Customer-facing experience as you will be visiting clients regularly.

  • Working knowledge of electrical or mechanical engineering.

  • Must have the ability to sell in a technical/consultative way.

  • Handling of commercial situations, tiered-level contracting, distributor-based supply chain, margins etc.

  • Methodical and dedicated to following up on quotations.

  • MS Office proficient

The Sales Manager role is a customer-facing role with a focus on large projects. This will include liaising and working with consultants, contractors, and distributors throughout the UK.

Key responsibilities for an experienced Key Account Manager/Sales Manager:

  • To demonstrate exceptional organisational skills and your role.

  • Handling initial inquiries

  • Liaising with customers to fully understand their requirements

  • Working with the office-based Applications/Estimating and supporting teams through the lead assessment, solution build, pricing, and proposal stages.

  • Sending out quotations

  • Customer site-based meetings and presentations.

  • Assisting our client’s consultants with technical & practical design and integration information.

  • Following up quotations until the point of order

  • Carrying out project handovers to the project teams once the order comes in.

  • Positive mental attitude ·

  • Able to conduct yourself in director-level meetings in a boardroom environment.

  • Ability to think on your feet, and function effectively in a fast-moving business.
