My client is a successful and well-established business supplying a unique technology-based product/solution to the public and private sectors. They now require an experienced Sales Account Manager to join the team and support the next phase of growth for the company.

As a Sales Account Manager, your primary role would be to explore new sales opportunities within the ticketing solutions sector that would maximise company profits and proactively drive the growth of the company. This would include finding potential customers to create satisfied clients as you help them meet their needs, as well as managing the needs of existing clients.

  • A mixture of account management and new business, selling ticketing systems into parking operators, transport operators, local authorities and private sector organisations
  • Up selling and identifying new business opportunities, ultimately looking to exceed sales and gross profit targets
  • Extending the customer base by participating in relevant exhibitions and local events
  • Assisting in training team members, analysing competitor activity, organising product presentations and taking responsibility for producing proposals and sales agreements
  • Contributing towards our continued product development and service offering by identifying new customer trends, product features and service requests for the parking industry.

Your Background

To succeed in this varied and exciting role you must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Previous experience selling technical products and support services into a wide range of sectors
  • Ability to self-manage time and pipeline of prospects and activity to reach targets
  • Experience interacting with director level decision makers
  • Commercial acumen and strong interpersonal skills
  • Hunger and the determination to succeed
  • Pro-active attitude
  • Someone who can communicate well
  • Someone who is committed to building a long-term career for themselves within an SME business
  • Strong personal resilience, negotiation, objection handling skills and work ethic
  • IT literate, as this role requires use of Microsoft Office
