Salary; £40,000 per annum - £49,000 per annum dependent on experience + bonus
Based in Haverfordwest, Pembrokshire, Wales
Seeking a hands on and people centric professional to provide safety, health and environmental support across a small but complex manufacturing site. This position is perfect for a strong advisor looking to take a step up or a manager who wants exposure to a unique manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is very driven in their career and able to hit the ground running for this 24/7 site.
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements on site, including policies and procedures providing support on site and offering simple and practical SHE solutions.
- Ensure site compliance and encourage continuous improvement
- Investigate all SHE accidents and incidents, ensuring root cause is achieved and to ensure effective actions are undertaken to prevent recurrence
- Co-ordinate and positively manage internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Responsible for site SHE budgets
- Support the site on their cultural maturity journey, engaging and empowering the wider workforce
- To report to the senior leadership team on a Weekly/Monthly/annual basis, develop and drive
- Improvement programmes and progression against actions
- NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum with upwards of 2 years industry experience
- General manufacturing experience but ideally within the Food, Beverage or Paper or Packaging industry.
- Self-motivated, confident person who can empower others
- Hands on and approachable
- Able to collaborate, influence, gain buy -in with strong communication skills
