Job Title: Battery Management Systems Engineer / BMS Engineer

Location: Coventry, United Kingdom

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000

About the Company: A research and development engineering business involved in the electric vehicle sector (powertrain) that supply to large companies and are major player in this emerging field.

Job Description: The prime purpose of the job is to be responsible for the development, verification, validation, and commissioning of Battery Management Systems for passenger vehicles, off highway vehicles, commercial vehicles, and industrial truck applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer inquiries
  • Verifications, validations and commissioning activities
  • Support the application software, basic software, functional safety, electronic hardware, and quality teams
  • Calibration and commissioning of BMS

Requirements:

  • Automotive BMS development experience (ideally Systems Engineering)
  • leading BMS systems development activities
  • BMS commissioning and calibration
  • Systems engineering and system delivery
  • Confident in presenting to customers and management
  • Proficient in office tools

Desirable but not essential:

  • Experience of Etas Inca.
  • Experience of BMS HW development.
  • Experience with Vector tools (e.g., CANalyzer, CANape) or equivalent
  • Experience of MATLAB/Simulink
