Safeguarding Panel Coordinator**

We're collaborating with a local authority in the Brixton area, searching for an experienced Panel Coordinator to within the Child Expoitation / Safeguarding Service.

Contract: Initially 3-6 months, with potential for a permanent role.

Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week.

Location: SW2. (The role could offer hybrid working)

Pay Rate: Starting from £22+ per hour (Negotiable based on experience).

About The Role:

  • To coordinate and administrate the Multiagency Violence and Exploitation (MAVE) and the Multiagency Child Exploitation (MACE) Panel in order to ensure the effective operation, performance and delivery of this panel, in partnership with key safeguarding partners.
  • The MAVE and MACE panels work in coordination to safeguard young people at risk of harm in the community.
  • The MAVE panel is the operational panel and serves to problem solve for services targeted at young people, their families, and the locations they cohabit.
  • The MACE coordinates the strategic response and provides the escalation process for MAVE issues.
  • Support the multi-agency Contextual Safeguarding response, with a particular focus on the coordination of a multi-agency response to children and young adults and peer groups at high risk of extra-familial harm; locations where extra-familial harm occurs; and perpetrators and individuals of concern.

  • Child Violence & Exploitation Support.
  • Contextual Safeguarding policies.
  • Local Authority / Public Sector.
