Overview

Working primarily within our multi-disciplinary Sevenoaks office, you will play a key role in further developing Savills' rural consultancy business across Kent, East Sussex and the eastern half of Surrey. This could involve the valuation of rural and residential assets, compulsory purchase, negotiations, rural landlord and tenant, expert witness work and a range of other property matters within your skill set.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to take a lead role in the provision of our consultancy services in the rural and residential sectors across the south east of England. The Sevenoaks office has over 50 employees from across all aspects of Savills' business and is one of the leading surveying practices in the region. You will be part of the wider rural consultancy and valuation team across the south of England, with colleagues in Petworth, Winchester, Newbury, Salisbury, and Bath. We support agile working within the region, enabling you to manage your time effectively and giving you the ability to work from other offices or sometimes home

Key Responsibilities

• Consolidate and expand the existing consultancy business in the region.
• Create longstanding relationships with and win new instructions from banks, solicitors, accountants and private clients.
• Work with the rest of the rural team (management, food and farming, forestry, farm agency) and other departments in Sevenoaks.
• Be a key part of the rural consultancy and valuation team across the south of England.
• Become the "go to" professional / team for rural and residential advisory services in Kent, East Sussex and the eastern half of Surrey.

Key Skills

• MRICS, preferably with three plus years PQE. Potentially FAAV.
• RICS Registered Valuer.
• Excellent numerate, analytical and technical skills and ability to produce high quality written reports, including Red Book valuations.
• Proven ability to win new business.
• Attention to detail.
• Understanding of rural property and factors driving the agricultural land market.
• Market knowledge and commercial awareness.
• Autonomous - able to take sole responsibility for instructions from start to finish.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage own time.
• Have an innate curiosity and be eager to experiment, push boundaries of what is possible and deliver efficiency in addition to effectiveness.
• Driving licence
