Do you have mortgage underwriting experience, and are you based in northern England? Podium Recruitment is helping a mortgage provider find a Roving Mortgage Underwriter, and the role comes with a salary of up to £45k and an attractive benefits package.

As a flexible Underwriter, you will cover the North UK area and be responsible for the packaging, underwriting and approval of new mortgage applications for a variety of first and second-charge lending products.

In a typical week, you will address these areas:
Underwrite residential and buy-to-let mortgage applications
Make lending decisions in line with credit risk policy and individual mandate level
Manage new applications, incoming post and pre-submission referrals within set service standards
Proactively manage an assigned pipeline of applications from receipt to completion.

To apply for this mortgage underwriter role, you will need previous underwriting, credit or lending exposure and experience working within a regulated environment. You must be prepared to travel across the northern UK region.

In return for your knowledge and expertise, you will receive a salary of £40-£45,000 and an excellent benefits package.
