Hourly pay rate: £24.97 PAYE / £31.94 Umbrella
Shifts: Panama Shift Pattern Days & Nights
Hours per week: 40 hours per week minimum

Position Summary:
Working as part of a team you will be required to undertake mechanical & electrical maintenance, repair and rudimentary fault finding and when required modifications on an Electrostar Fleet. Successful applicants will be responsible for ensuring that any maintenance undertaken at the depot is done in accordance with the companies' safety regulations. The exam technician will need to undertake detailed electrical and mechanical fault finding and investigation; this may include the following;
* General duties will be fault finding, general maintenance, service prep's, exam work
* Using a Laptop to run a diagnostics check/ identify Faults
* Following routine maintenance instructions and completing checks
* Carry out basic Heating & Ventilation repairs
* Hydraulic fault finding and rectification
* Pneumatic fault finding and rectification
* Bogie overhaul, damage repair and engineering
* Wheel set repair and analysis
* Bogie chassis, damage repair and clean
* Driver seats
* Wiper motors changes
* Couplers changes
* Actuators changes
* Brake checks, repairs and replacements
* Oil changes
* Working with schematic diagrams
* Axle greasing

Person Profile/Experience:
* Previous use of Laptops to diagnose faults
* Ability to work from maintenance manuals and schematics
* Experience of Mechanical and Electrical fault finding
* Experience of Mechanical and Electrical repairs
* Troubleshooting and evidence gathering

Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a Mechanical and Electrical engineering discipline is a minimum.
