RoadFreight Supervisor

We are working with a Medium Sized Freight Forwarder who have an exciting opportunity for a Road Freight Supervisor.

We are looking for a Road Freight Supervisor, with ideally experience of dealing with all aspects of Road Exports / Imports, and previous experience of Supervising a Team. This is a team of 4.

Leading the road freight team within the operations team. Focus on best-in-class customer service with excellent people management skills. Maintaining and building a culture of excellent Data Quality working within an international business. Focus on client retention and growth. Fostering a positive mentality where employees are proud to work with a drive for continuous improvement. Motivating the Team to succeed and drive improvement and cross team functionality.

Role involves:
· To receive and process bookings in a timely fashion, build relationships with customer and overseas partners.
· To ensure all shipments are in line and comply with the regulations set out in country of origin and UK customs. Work with the respective stakeholders to ensure all staff are clearly trained and up to date with legislation.
· To ensure all departures / arrivals are monitored keeping the customer updated.
· Understand and use current carrier rates to ensure RIF achieve a positive margin.
· Monitor performance to ensure customer service requirements are achieved.
· Lead by example with a positive outlook.
· Ensure the retention and growth of key accounts and local customers through delivery of operational and customer excellence.

Monday to Friday.
Salary depends on experience.
