Roadfreight Customs Clerk - 4on 4off days

My client are a niche freight forwarder looking for an experienced Customs Clerk to join their busy team. You must have previous experience completing roadfreight customs clearances for either import or export. This is a full time office based role.

Daily duties will include:

• Manage the movement and clearance of goods in and out the UK in line with customs regulations
• Ensure timely management of drivers arriving / departing requiring documentation processing
• Communicate with HMRC and other authorities to ensure goods are cleared and released
• Liaise with customers internal and external providing updates on shipment status
• Handling queries

Experience needed:

• Minimum 1 years experience in HMRC entry processing using CDS
• Good HSS code knowledge and classification
• Basic understanding of Defra and Peach application
• Ideally knowledge or experience of importing and exporting temperature controlled goods

Hours:

• 4on 4off days 7am - 7pm
