Right Now Group are working with a Global Freight Forwarder, based near Southend-on-Sea, who are looking to expand their Road Freight Department. They are looking to bring aboard an experienced Operator to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have experience completing Road Consignments start to finish, and experience completing Customs Entries on CDS.

Duties and responsibilities of a Road Freight Operator:

  • To assist with the Road Freight Department with completing bookings start to finish on GB/EU Road Bookings, Crosstrade, Export, Import and Domestic/Courier Shipments.
  • Provide a high level of customer service via all forms of communication and these will also be client specific.
  • Create and arrange transport, delivery and collection notes.
  • Communicate with stakeholders on a daily basis which includes hauliers, foreign partners, suppliers, freight forwarders and airlines.
  • Assist with insurance cover when clients request to insure freight in transit.
  • Quoting shipments, Data and POD Entry, Create Packing lists when requested.
  • Ensure that all appropriate shipping documentation is obtained for clearance processes to be arrange for a timely and accurate crossing over the channels.

The Successful Road Freight Operator:

  • Experienced within Road Freight Operations.
  • Team played and ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Understanding of T1's and customs processes for both Export and Import Processes.
  • Knowledge of CDS.
  • Understanding of EUR 1's, Certificate of Origins and Carnets.

Additional information for the Road Freight Operator Role:

Shift: Monday - Friday

Hours: 08:30 - 17:00

Salary: £30,000
