Road Business Development Manager

Our client is a well-known Road Freight Forwarder that are looking to add to their team in the Portsmouth area

Are you confident building new relationships and bringing new business on board

The Role:

In this role the successful candidate will need to expand the Road Operation, to apply your sales expertise and identity new business opportunities. You must have effective communication skills to build and manage relationships with the customers at all levels. The successful candidate will need to cost and quote for business plus maintain a good network of existing and potential customers, you must have also excellent negotiation skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous Road Freight Account Experience
  • Proven sales / commercial background
  • Excellent time management administration and planning skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Full driving licence
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Excellent customer service and IT skills

About the Company:

Our client is based in the Portsmouth area with offices all over the world.

Salary & Benefits:

Our client is looking to pay a salary of £40k - £50K depending on experience for the right candidate, plus commission-based bonus scheme.
