The Role

We're looking for an experience HR Business Partner with a strong interest and aptitude for Pay and Reward, to join this new created Reward Team within the HR function. With a focus on reducing inequality, this role will focus on ensuring that the workforce receive fair and equal pay that reflects the going market rate for professional skills. They are looking to modernise, reviewing flexible working practices, benefits, career pathways, and ultimately 'do' Pay and Reward differently, to both attract and retain talent for years to come.

As the Subject Matter Lead, you'll be responsible for;

  • Carry out job evaluations with knowledge and experience of Korn Ferry Hay or GLPC.
  • Offer expert advice across HR and Leadership on Pay, Reward, and Organisational Development to retain talent.
  • Review the external market and benefit offerings to design and deliver a robust reward plan.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders, third-party providers, and ensure clear governance and controls using bench marking and analysis of workforce data to inform for decision-making.
  • Line management and development of a Reward Analyst.

To be successful in this role, exposure working in large complex public sector organisations would be advantageous, as well as experience working alongside Trade Unions around collective bargaining agreements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, should allow you to partner effectively with stakeholders and provide specialist advice and coaching. Strong HR generalists with a real passion for HR insights, analysing complex datasets, and previous line management experience will also lend themselves well to this role.
