This international law firm is the legal destination of choice for many of the worlds finance houses. The firm is known for its work in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and securitizations. They have a network of offices across Europe, North & South America, and the Far East.

They now are looking to hire a Revenue Assistant to assist with all aspects of the Revenue function alongside Revenue Specialists for their assigned Partners & Practice Groups for the London offices in a timely, efficient, accurate and professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Senior Revenue Specialist with production of proformas, fee updates, draft bills and various ad-hoc reports.
  • Assist the team to ensure that all billing information held within the system is accurate and kept up to date at all times, including tax codes, addresses, payable by details, rate agreements and EU VAT numbers, estimated completion dates, where appropriate.
  • Receive training from existing team to become the primary contact of monitoring and filing invoices & seeking updates and filing of Certificates of Residence and other related tax forms into our document system (NetDocs).
  • Receive training from London Revenue & e-billing Team to attain ability to submit and monitor bills both manually and via the various e-billing systems ensuring compliance with clients OCG’s and reporting on outstanding invoices. Including Reversals and credit notes.
  • Assist team with a view to understand how to maintain rate agreements within the Finance system at both matter and client level.
  • Work with team on various system tests and report on requested changes to bill templates and other ad hoc projects.
  • Assisting other Revenue Specialists by attending meetings with Partners to discuss their Work in Progress and Accounts Receivable and escalate processes where appropriate.
  • Become the primary operator of the London revenue mailbox, responding to queries or fielding them to the correct team member for the most appropriate & strongest response.
  • Assist with write-off requests on uncollectable debts and WIP balances in line with the firm’s approval levels & preparing relevant paperwork ahead of such requests.
  • Assist with updating and maintaining Target Cash/ARCS promptly and accurately in relation to WIP and AR statuses and notes.
  • Assist Revenue Specialists with the collection of debt for assigned Partners / practice groups by way of direct contact with Partner, attorneys or client.
  • Communicate with AP/Cashiers team to assist with resolution of payments relating to allocation of receipts of client bills.
  • Undertake a weekly review of the unopened matters balances and distribute to the team for updates, escalating to Revenue Manager where required/appropriate.
  • Request, Update, Save & File all confirmation letters from the bank as & when required, generally on an annual basis but could be more frequent if there are significant changes in the business.

Candidate Profile

  • This role requires 2 to 3 years of experience within legal finance, preferably processing bills or working in a revenue function. 3E Experience helpful but not essential with similar system knowledge. Ability to demonstrate some knowledge of the relevant VAT, SRA & EU rules are essential along with a positive 'can-do’ attitude and attention to detail.
