Retail Planner (Temp Role - at least 3 months)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Retail Planner to join a prestigious and world-renowned company based in Northampton. This is a temporary position initially for 3 months, working full time hours Monday - Friday, hybrid working options are available and offering a competitive salary. The ideal candidate will be available to start immediately.

The role:

• Responsible for the pricing and promotional planning for the organisation’s retail activities
• Use and analyse existing data to support with future strategies and plans
• Recommend promotional strategies and assist with the creation and execution of promotional calendars
• Conduct analysis on pricing structures, competitor pricing and consumer behaviour to inform pricing decisions
• Monitor promotional effectiveness and provide insights to continuous improvement
• Create and distribute reports on retail performance and market trends
• Take ownership of the retail product portfolio and make recommendations for what new products to launch into retail and advise when products will be discontinued
• Accurately maintain records and support the wider retail / marketing team with administrative tasks

You:

• Data focused with the ability to analyse and interpret data to make decisions
• Commercially aware
• Previous experience within retail operations or planning would be advantageous
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A team player with a collaborative approach to work
• Highly analytical with great attention to detail
• Works well under pressure and a good problem solver
• Excellent knowledge of MS Excel (with previous experience using Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs)
• Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills
