Restaurant / Catering Supervisor

Job Type: Full-time (45 hours per week)

Salary: £28,000 per year

Our client is looking for a Catering Supervisor to help them run their newly opened Bistro / Cafe / restaurant in Luton. They are a small family catering business in Bedfordshire that run multiple coffee vans, food vans & three cafes. They are professional, agile and innovative.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the café, including food preparation, customer service, and staff management.
• Ensure high-quality food and beverage offerings are consistently delivered to customers.
• Train and supervise café staff, including cooks, baristas, and servers.
• Create and maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for customers.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain equipment.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Monitor and enforce health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the management team to develop menus, pricing, and promotional activities.

Our ideal candidate

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Bartending experience is a plus.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

The restaurant will be open 7 days a week and 4 evenings. Our client is open to conversations around flexible shift patterns to suit both your needs and their business.
