Here at Long-Term Teachers we have an exciting opportunity for a candidate with exceptional experience with Special Educational Needs to join an inclusive and diverse Primary School in the BS3 area of Bristol.

This 1 form entry school is very proud of how dedicated and wonderful their staff and pupils are. This school is fortunate enough to have an extensive site, including a Resource Base Classroom for SEND children.

This school is passionate about providing an inclusive curriculum for their students, working in a resource based classroom, there is an enthusiasm for adapting education to meet the needs of individual pupils.

The Role

This role is to start from September. Where the classroom is growing, there is a need for more adults to join the team on a full-time basis.

We are looking for someone to put children and their learning at the center of their work, someone who can use their initiative to adapt activities and be flexible to work with a variety of needs throughout the room.

You will be expected to:

  • Have prior experience working with SEND.

  • Deliver engaging activities and lessons.

  • Confident with differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all children.

  • Work closely with the school SENDCO to adapt the learning environment to ensure children feel supported and safe.

  • Work closely with the other members of staff.
