Learning Disabilities Support Worker

Up to £14.58 p/h

Various shift patterns

Part time/Full time

Prospero are currently recruiting for a client who supports Adults with Learning Difficulties

Within your role, you will be helping support highly reputable organisations across various residential homes for vulnerable adults with learning disabilities

Epilepsy training and PBM training (or equivalent) is particularly desirable.

  • Daily activities such as personal care; laundry; meal preparation; medication and administration
  • Getting to know the people you will care for and help them to live the life they want to live
  • Taking personal responsibility for the quality of care and assistance delivered to the people you will care for
  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people you will take care of
  • Helping the people you will assist plan towards and achieve both short and long term aims
  • Planning and be in favour of activities, such as vacations, learning and social engagements always being creative and exploring new opportunities
  • Assisting the people, you will assist to manage their personal affairs making, preparing for, and attending any appointments
  • Ensuring the people, you will assist and their families, are treated with respect, dignity, and equality

We will pay more for Meds trained staff with in date certificates

To Work With Us, You Will Need

  • 6 months paid, hands-on experience
  • To be approachable, friendly, proactive and engage with the services users & Prospero
  • Great communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Desirable: DBS on the update service
