Salary: £18,000 - £24,000
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  
You will be working for a well-respected legal firm working within their residential property team. They offer a wonderfully social working environment and actively encourage comprehensive training and professional development, including pursuing qualifications including CILEx.
  
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Legal Secretary in this firm, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of their residential property department. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Audio and Copy Typing: Transcribing legal documents and correspondence with precision and accuracy.
  • Answering Phones: Providing a friendly and professional telephone manner when interacting with clients and colleagues.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assisting with general office tasks, including filing, photocopying, and data entry.
  • Updating New Client Records: Maintaining up-to-date client information and records.
  • Filing Correspondence: Organizing and managing the storage of legal documents.
  • Inputting Information on Case Management Systems: Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of case-related data.
  • Opening and Closing Files: Managing the documentation for legal cases.
  • Working Closely with a Partner: Collaborating with our experienced legal professionals to support their work.
  
Qualifications and Skills:
This firm are open to applications from graduates of any subject or outstanding school leavers. An interest in law or any previous experience would also be of great benefit.
  • Strong IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Good Fit for Office: A professional and adaptable demeanour.
  • Teamwork: A willingness to collaborate and contribute to a positive office environment.

  • Good Telephone Manner: Strong communication skills, especially over the phone.
