Child Support worker roles available in Burntisland within the residential unit of a specialised school. The service supports young people ages 10-18 years old with emotional and social difficulties to engage in education and develop their social and life skills. The service has consistently received 5s and 6s from the care inspectorate over the past 10 years and has a great reputation in the local community. You will be joining a team from diverse care backgrounds working cooperatively to achieve the best outcomes for the children in their care.

A successful child support worker will be responsible for:

-Working effectively as part of a team of child support workers

- Providing 24 hours care to a vulnerable young people

-supporting 5-8 service users in residential units

-Taking service users out into the community

-Maintaining professional manner and working to National Care Standards

-Working to a flexible schedule, including night shifts, weekends and bank holidays and Christmas period

To be successful in your application, you will:

- Have previous experience working in a residential setting with young people

-Have flexibility in the roles undertaken

-Have strong communication skills

-Register under the PVG scheme

-Full driving licence

-Obtained, or working towards SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent desirable
